Student life at Tri-Cities Christian Schools is about a great education and great character development, and we help accomplish these through extracurricular activities. Whether competing on the field or court, planning student activities such as homecoming or junior/senior banquet, playing an instrument, serving on the yearbook or newspaper committees, or serving in the community, students at TCCS have lots of opportunities to learn and grow outside of the classroom. And let’s not forget... we want you to have fun while you're here!
Students at Tri-Cities have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and clubs. These activities help students develop all their talents to their highest potential. Elementary students meet with their clubs during a designated time twice a week. Junior high and senior high students meet during the co-curricular time or after school.
Throughout the year, students have the unique opportunity to participate in Christian service and mission projects. TCCS desires the students to have a heart for evangelism and compassion for the needy in the world. Two annual events that TCCS students participate in include the Belize Mission Trip and the Mexican Mercado.
Each year a team of high school students, faculty and parents travel to Belize, Central America to minister to the people of Belize through medical missions, construction, evangelism and service to our sister school, Belmopan Baptist High School, Marla’s House of Hope Orphanage, Blue Thumb Ministries, Buena Vista Elementary School and many others. We also do feeding programs and remote medical clinics in various villages where poverty, starvation and no medical care are everyday challenges for the people of Belize. We are so amazed each time we go at the opportunities that God presents for us to serve Him, to be the tools that He uses to bless these dear people, and we’re equally amazed at how our students rise to the challenge.
Elementary students love to get involved in missions too. Each year the elementary Spanish teacher, Mrs. Ortega, sponsors a Mexican Mercado to help the students raise money for a specific missionary. The students set up tables and bargain with one another to purchase items that the students have donated to be sold. In 2010 $950 were raised to help support the relief efforts in Haiti.
Students also support monthly drives and offerings to help fund a variety of local and international Christian ministries including:
