At TCCS teachers aim to help students use all their talents to glorify our Creator God. The arts play a very important role in the life of our students. Our goal at TCCS is to teach our students an appreciation for beauty as expressed through music, speech and art. Our staff's desire is to celebrate the gift of creativity and acknowledge that it is God-given.
Students have the opportunity to participate in Art, Band, Choir, Praise Band, Forensics, Speech and Drama.
Students participate in local competitions as well as the TACS district competitions. Winners go on to compete at the state and national level.
Choirs are offered for Elementary (grades 4-6), Junior High (grades 7-8), and Senior High (grades 9-12). Performances include the school-wide Christmas concert, chapel services, TACS Fine Arts Competition, and graduation. Smaller groups and ensembles are formed from the larger choirs. General music class is offered for K4 through 3rd grades.
Band is offered to students in grades 4-12. Performances include the school-wide Christmas concert and chapel services.
Art is offered to grades 4-12 and is geared toward TACS Fine Arts Competition and various local contests. Categories Include pencil drawing, arts, crafts, sculpture, oil and acrylic painting, watercolor, photography, digital photography, poster, calligraphy, charcoal, ink, textiles, crayon, mixed media, and woodworking. General art instruction is offered to K4-3rd grades.
Forensics/Speech & Drama is offered to grades 4-12. Students participate in TACS Fine Arts Competition and various local contests.
