SCHOOL AND FAMILY COMMITMENT

ChildTri-Cities Christian Schools maintains a non-discriminatory policy based on race, color, and national origin in the administration of its admission and educational policies. In order to be accepted for admission into TCCS, parents and students must agree with and support the moral and ethical standard and philosophy upon which the school is founded. The parents and school must work together in mutual support of their desire to supply each student the opportunity to grow and become all that God intends him/her to become. TCCS considers it an honor to have a part in the life of your child. The goal of TCCS is to provide each student with a quality and an affordable educational program. An education at TCCS is an investment in the future of your child.

HOLIDAY CLOSINGS

The preschool will be closed for the following holidays:
January 1, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday), December 24, 25, and 31

If the holiday falls on Saturday, the holiday is observed on Friday. If the holiday falls on Sunday, it is observed on Monday.

CLASS PLACEMENT

Class placement in Preschool is determined by the student’s age as of September 30.

WEATHER CLOSINGS

The preschool usually does not close due to inclement weather conditions that would close the day school. When school is closed or when school is on a two-hour delay due to weather conditions, the preschool will open on a one-hour delay.

ILLNESS POLICY

Three GirlsFor the welfare of your child and other students in the school, all children who are ill must be kept home. When the child is well enough to participate in a normal school day, please send appropriate clothing for the temperature to enable the child to participate in outside activities. Students with a temperature of 100 or more must be picked up and remain out of school for 24 hours after starting prescribed medication and/or 24 hours after the temperature returns to normal.

MEDICATION FORMS

Medication cannot be administered unless the parent signs a medical consent form. Prescribed medication can be administered as long as it is brought to the office in the original bottle with the dosage information intact and accompanied by a medical consent form signed by the parent and the prescribing physician.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR PRESCHOOL

Step 1: Parent(s) schedule an appointment with the pre-school director. This meeting will help parent(s) and student(s) to become acquainted with TCCS, to evaluate the class placement of the student(s) and to determine the desire of the family for a Christian education.

Step 2: Once the above criteria has been met, the parents will complete the registration form, tender the required fees and either personally return the form, a copy of student's birth certificate, and immunization record to the director or send the forms and the required fees by mail.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

Boy on SwingTuition and fees are the major source of income for Tri-Cities Christian Schools, a non-profit corporation. It is essential for all families to meet payment deadlines in order for TCCS to continue to maintain financial stability. Payment of tuition and fees allow the school to strengthen programs, to increase faculty compensation and to operate with fiscal responsibility. TCCS, at its discretion, reserves the right to dismiss any student who does not follow the guidelines set forth by TCCS without refunding tuition or fees.

  1. Registration and supply fees are due and payable before students can attend class.
  2. Students will not be allowed to continue attending classes unless tuition is paid by stated deadlines. Weekly tuition is due Monday of each week the child attends. A late charge of $10 per student will be assessed if payment is not received by Friday of that week.
  3. A $35 fee will be charged for all “returned checks” for non-sufficient funds or a closed account.
  4. There are no deductions for holidays, weather closings or absences in pre-school or extended school care (ESC).
  5. Charges will not be accrued for up to 2 weeks of vacation annually when advance notice of 2 weeks is given. This option is available only for year round weekly full day students. Students enrolled in the 1/2 day academic program from September to May will not be charged tuition during Christmas and/or Spring Break.
  6. Extended School Care is $60 per month for K5 through eighth grade. It is available from 6:30-8:00 a.m. and 3:00-6:00 p.m.
  7. K5 through eighth grade students will pay $10 per day for snow days and holidays if they are currently enrolled in the extended school program. The charge for lunch is included in the daily payment. Care will be available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  8. Late Pick-Up Charge is $10 for any portion of fifteen minutes that the child is picked up late.
  9. Families with a student enrolled in the day school program will pay the second child rate for their child enrolled in the preschool if the child is enrolled in the full day program.
